Check Yourself

After a few years of being pulled and stretched in every direction; bending but not breaking, I am finally able to breathe. And it feels freeing. This new space comes with options, opportunities, and little perks that make me appreciate each day a bit more. This morning, I sat in my chill spot enjoying the breeze (no fans needed), no music, no news, no talk radio, just me, my business, and my thoughts.

Fall is just around the corner, with winter only a gust away, my favorite time of year. Like Capricorn, winter starts and ends the year. It’s the season I feel most at home, able to flow in and with what life brings.

Every day brings something different, and after the chips fall where they may, the choices we make determine the day we have.

Practical Self-Care Checklist for This Season

  • Pause for a “breath break.” Take 5–10 minutes daily with no phone, no music, no noise; just breathe.
  • Create a cozy corner. Whether it’s a favorite chair, porch, or café, set aside a spot for yourself to read, write, or simply think.
  • Keep a gratitude list. Note one or two things you’re thankful for every day.
  • Hydrate and stretch. A glass of water and a few stretches between tasks can reset your energy.
  • Check your inner dialogue. Ask yourself: “Am I being kind to myself today?”
  • Plan one small indulgence each week. A special coffee, a walk in a park, or a brunch spot you’ve never tried.
  • Rest without guilt. Remember: downtime isn’t wasted time; it’s maintenance for your mind and body.

Seasons change, and so do we. Whether life is smooth or full of challenges, self-care is how we remind ourselves we’re still worthy, still valuable, and still here.

Are You a Lover or Hater ???

Are You a Lover💕💕💕 or Hater 🤔🤔🤔

They say hate is taught, but so is love. If everyone who claims to be full of love is truly walking in it, why is there still so much hate?

The truth is, they are both learned behaviors. They are passed down through families, cultures, communities, and even systems. Children watch and imitate, and Adults repeat the familiar which is modeled and multiplied.

Love is more than a word we claim; It is patience, kindness, forgiveness, and truth. It shows up even when it’s hard or uncomfortable. And just like hate, love can be chosen and taught, day after day, action after action.

Hate thrives only when love is neglected.  Do you know what love is? 🤔🤔🤔 If not ask and I’ll tell😁😁😁Ask yourself, “What am I doing today to tip the scale toward love?”

✨ How to Shine Without the Rewind

It’s been a little while since my last blog post and I have missed it, but it doesn’t take precedence over everything else life. Although I don’t post daily or weekly; I write daily as it is a natural part of me.

I’ve written plenty in the meantime, but for me blogging isn’t about filling space. It’s about showing up with what’s true in the moment, without forcing it, and without oversharing the pieces of life that are better lived than displayed.

Although I’ve been away for a minute this post isn’t about starting over or catching up but continuing with gratitude, perspective, and peace.

Every post may not look the same, and that’s okay. What matters is that they’ll always reflect pieces of me: real, evolving, and leading my own journey.

To those who take the time to read these posts, thank you. Your quiet support means more than you know, and it reminds me that even when words feel small, they can still make a difference. 🌿

As you read this, it’s a reminder of your own life too: you get to lead your journey, not the other way around. Whatever season you’re in, give yourself permission to step back, reset, and return on your terms. 🌱

Here’s to shining without needing the rewind; not rushed, not routine, but refreshed. 🌸
